Royal Palace of Matthias Corvinus

In the town of Visegrad, about 20 kilometers north of Budapest, lies the Royal Palace of Matthias Corvinus. At the time of this ruler, this magnificent building had 350 rooms, and its luxury has been widely praised. Today, the palace has been turned into a museum and is under extensive reconstruction. Only about 20 rooms have been returned to their former glory and presented to visitors. Those are King's chambers, kitchen, and ancillary rooms. Visitors especially like to linger around the Fountain of Hercules and the Court of Honor.
