Na'akuto La'ab

Na'akuto La'ab is a church located 7 kilometers southeast of the city of Lalibela. Before this church was built, it is assumed that on this place stood a much older temple built of red brick in a cave, that Empress Zewdita ordered the construction. Today, this is a monastery with a rich treasury that contains an illuminated Bible, crowns, crosses, and gold-painted drums.
