Ngwenya iron mine is located on the mountain of the same name, which stretches along the northwestern border of Eswatini to South Africa. This is the oldest mine in the world. Archaeological finds dating back 43,000 years prove that iron was mined here even then. The guided tour can be taken to visit mine. Visitors also love the Ngwenya visitor center which has fantastic exhibits with mineral samples, tools used in mining, as well as a diorama showing excavations during the Iron Age.
