The Little Mermaid

One of the landmarks of Copenhagen is the statue of the Little Mermaid, a character from the fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen. This 1.25-meter high bronze statue was placed on the shore near the Langelinia promenade in 1913. The work of art represents a mermaid who transforms into a human being.
