Guatape
The town of Guatape, located about 90 kilometers from the capital Medellin is situated on Lake Guatape. Its picturesque streets reminiscent of a movie set because the lower floors of all the houses are painted in bright colors and have various ornaments. Lake Guatape forms a beautiful lagoon next to the city. The rock formation known as Piedra del Peñol is a special attraction that attracts tourists. After a challenging climb over the 740 steps, you will be rewarded with an awesome view of the beautiful lagoon.
