Torres del Paine National Park (or Blue Tower National Park) is located in the Patagonian part of Chile. The park includes mountains, rivers, lakes, and glaciers, as well as Magellanic subpolar forests and Patagonian Steppes. The area under protection is about 182,000 square kilometers. In the past 35 years, tourists have caused fires on three occasions in which 482 square kilometers of forest were destroyed, so strict adherence to the rules is required of all visitors.
