Tierra del Fuego is an archipelago located south of the southernmost point of the continental part of South America. The archipelago is divided between Chile and Argentina. The largest island is Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, with an area of over 48,000 square kilometers. The northern part of the archipelago is based on the exploitation of oil and gas, while the southern part is turned to ecotourism and sheep breeding. What brings tourists to the Tierra del Fuego is the feeling that you are at the end of the world, with beautiful forests, and colonies of king penguins.
