Elqui River
Elqui River Valley in Chile is known for two things: quality grape brandy called pisco production, and as a place where the stars can be seen incredibly clearly. There are two tips for visitors. The first is to check the moon phases before the visit because it is best to come while there is no moon. And the other is not to try the pisco before the night spent under the stars, because you will not believe yourself what you have seen. Here the stars are seen very clearly, without flicker caused by air pollution, and without light pollution. Meteors, meteor showers, and UFOs are often seen here.
