Old Bridge in Mostar is probably the most popular landmark of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Also known as Mostar bridge or Stari Most, this 16th-century bridge crosses the river Neretva and represents an exemplary piece of Balkan Islamic architecture. It was destroyed in 1993 during the civil war but after the reconstruction, which ended in 2004, this masterpiece became the UNESCO World Heritage site and the most visited site in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
