Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge

Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge is a 16th-century Ottoman bridge crossing the Drina river in the city of Višegrad. This bridge is not only a stunning example of monumental architecture but also a place where tragic events happened. This was a site of a large number of brutal killings during the Višegrad massacre in the early 1990s. UNESCO included the bridge on World Heritage List in 2007.
