Rinpung Dzong

Rinpung Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress situated in Paro District. This is a large complex with fourteen shrines and chapels, which became a film set in 1993 - scenes from Bernardo Bertolucci's Little Buddha were filmed in this dzong. The site is mostly visited during spring when it becomes home to a great religious annual festival.
