Sonian Forest

The Sonian Forest is part of the Charcoal Forest that covers a large area of this part of Europe. The forest is a habitat for about forty species of mammals, but also European beeches and oaks, some of which are about 200 years old. Since 2017, this forest is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
