The Republic of Angola is located in the western part of Southern Africa. It is a highly multiethnic country and a former Portuguese colony that gained independence in 1975. Until 2002, Angola was struck by a civil war, but nowadays it has become a stable, fast-growing economy with a rich culture and natural treasures.
